Prayer collectives

‘Weekdays at One’

At 1pm on weekdays, you are invited to join in a short prayer, for us to focus together on an aspect of God’s love. You can follow these short videos below, with eyes open or – if safe – closed, or you can focus on the theme of the prayer and use your own words.

If you cannot make 1pm, any time will still be good, and will still connect us in our prayers, as we hold, are filled with, and send out the light of God’s love. Or we connect to the golden thread within and around us.

Focus of Prayers

Monday – Being God’s love

Tuesday – God’s loving peace

Wednesday – God’s healing love

Thursday – Unity in our Diversity

Friday – Forgiveness

Collective Meditations

Below is a playlist of guided meditations, each between 3 and 9 minutes long. There is a choice of two videos for each day of the week, plus one for any time you choose. Each day has a clear focus, such as our ‘courage’ or ‘healing’ in God’s love.

You can watch the video with eyes open or – if safe – closed and follow the meditations at whatever time is best for you. By collectively meditating we can connect to the focus for each day, no matter what time we practice, and be lifted by knowing we are sharing our active intention.

The videos are filmed on hand-held camera, and the times when the picture moves with the breath can remind us to ‘soft-focus’ our eyes and simply ‘go with’ the meditation.

Monday – Love

Tuesday – Peace

Wednesday – Healing

Thursday – Acceptance

Friday – Courage

Saturday – Knowing (breath)

Sunday – Being

Anyday – Hope

Active Loving and Forgiving

It is a strong value of ‘the love that we are’ that God’s love is an active verb, an energy of loving, and that we are here as creation to express, enjoy, be challenged by, and learn from this love, as God is loving through us. God doesn’t ‘need’ us to be here to able to love, as God has loved since before the beginning of time! But the more we can reconcile to the love that we are, the more of God’s loving can come through us. And heal us. And heal our planet.

Reconciling with the love within us often comes through forgiveness, of our self and of others. I met a young boy with cerebral palsy once, in an orphanage in Vietnam. He showed me the power of forgiveness, and his inspiration has stayed with me for over twenty years. We named the charity we set up to help empower the children (The Kianh Foundation www.kianh.org.uk, Director Jackie Wrafter MBE) in his honour. Here is a poem about Khanh.

The more we can actively reconcile ourselves and ‘come home’ to being loving, the more hope we can have.

This prayer, often known as the Serenity Prayer, can help guide us towards the peace, courage, wisdom, and joy of re-connecting to God’s love. And the more we re-connect, the more we can transform.
