‘Because we are love’’
One Love
‘the love that we are’
One Unconditional, All-inclusive, Non-judgemental, All-forgiving love
Inside us all
A love that we are all made from and surrounded by and held by
A love of justice
With no exclusivity, no prejudice, no inequality
A love of compassion
That can heal us and heal our planet
A love of grace
That knows no end to understanding
A love of light
That can fill all darkness and give us hope
A love we all belong to as
‘the love that we are’
And no matter what faith you have
– or none –
The One Love of the universe is
For all of us and connects us all
So we can have
Unity in our diversity
Peace not war
Love not hate
Creative hope not destructive despair
and
Joy not sadness!
‘Because we are love. We exist as love and in love we exist. One Love.’
It may sound idealistic and unreal, in our world full of so much suffering, but it is ultimately true! There is one conscious, limitless, eternal, unconditionally loving energy, which is, and which created, our universe, and this One Love loves you!
Loves every one of us. And by reconnecting, reconciling your heart to the love that you truly are, which you are a part of, made from, and belong to, through your own faith or through simple active awareness, you can heal yourself and help heal our world. With love.
There is no need for us to argue about who said what or which story matters most or what the rules of faith are, because there is only one very simple answer – and that is Love!
Welcome to the website! Here are some introductions to ‘the love that we are’. Throughout the website there are short videos for you to enjoy, filmed in beautiful nature with just a few spoken words.
‘The love that we are’ is a website, Hope Centre, and action hub for anyone wanting to explore and enjoy mindfulness, healing, creativity, and well-being in an atmosphere of inclusivity, lightness, and hope.
The hope is in our reconciliation with our true, loving, contented selves. And to realize that we belong. We are part of a universal loving energy that loves us, just as we are.
It does not matter what names or labels we use, as these are just signposts. The love that we are is for everyone, and includes everyone, unconditionally.
Jacci, the website and centre director, herself follows the three teachings of Jesus (that we are all made from and belong within one love, to focus our lives on that love, and to treat others as we hope to be treated). But these ideas are also in the words of many other great teachers and leaders. When in her writing and words she uses the name ‘God’, you can easily, if you prefer, use such words as ‘oneness’ or ‘the Divine – of any name’, or ‘the Universe’ or simply ‘love’ – all with or without the capitals! The words do not matter nearly so much as the truth – that we are all the love that we are.
You can find out more ABOUT the hope and the centre director. We have ONLINE SESSIONS of mindful meditations, simple meditations in nature, and prayers, for people to connect with from anywhere in the world. We have healing therapies, classes, and workshops at THE HOPE CENTRE, and EVENTS held at various inspiring locations.
Most of all we hope you can find peace, healing, and active compassion for yourself, for other people and for our planet, by joining in with our activities, discussions, and creativity, for not just a brighter future, but for a bright today.
We have two books which you can download for free. ‘Talking Unity’ is about exploring and connecting to the one love that we are all made from and belong within.
The new book ‘Talk Hope, Healing & Being a Survivor’, is about being, loving and healing your authentic self, and living as a true survivor, holding your gift of a unique life.
You can find these books and lots more on our RESOURCES page.
Why do we use the dragonfly as a symbol for ‘the love that we are’? Because dragonflies (and butterflies) are symbols of the self-realisation and transformation, which is a great potential within us all. A transformation which we can activate, not by trying ultra hard, but by letting go to a simple awareness of the moment we are in right now. This mindful process itself, with practice and without any further complexity, can become our healing. In our ‘be-ing’ as human beings, we can remember the grace, resilience, and happiness of who we are.
We also hope that in the various branches of ‘the love that we are’, you will be able to take a ‘pause’ from your busy life of doing, and rest quietly. Enjoy the peace that is both around us in nature and waiting inside us, when we make time to gently, bravely, joyfully, re-connect to it. As the wise Sufi poet Rumi once said, ‘silence is the language of god, all else is poor translation’.
The Hope Centre for Meditation, Healing, and Well-being
The Hope Centre is genuinely a place for everyone, of all faiths or none, for if you want to explore your spirituality or if you simply want to enjoy being in a space that is peaceful and runs good activities rooted in mindfulness, healing, creativity, and love. You are welcome.
A space for reconciliation within ourselves to the love that is in and around us. And, by taking opportunities for stillness and relaxation, the ‘deep running wave’ of peace will be able to run through us, even when our lives are full of challenges and seem turbulent. We can learn to find calm amidst the noises of real life, like on this windy beach on the beautiful Isle of Iona, in Scotland.
